We invite 10 young artists —with or without prior experience in the performing arts—who use the body as their primary artistic instrument. The residency will centre on women’s empowerment, togetherness and movement as a language of connection.
Why pARTy?
We’re re-imagining the idea of a “party”—once just music and socialising, now a space for women’s empowerment, support, and connection, especially in rural areas.Together we will explore:
How did parties look in the past—and how do they look today?
What differs between urban and rural celebrations?
Can we transform this social format into an artistic performance where movement becomes a shared language?
Using dance and theatre tools, participants will:
develop personal movement vocabularies,
collaborate with local women through tea-time workshops,
co-create an immersive, community-driven performance.
